Established in 2007, the New Nordic Circus Network (NNCN) is an overall development programme for contemporary circus in the Nordic countries as well as the name of the partnership established with the aim of placing contemporary circus on the cultural map of the Nordic countries.

NNCN has five main partners:

• Denmark: Københavns Internationale Teater
• Finland: Finnish Circus Information Centre
• Finland: Cirko – Centre for New Circus
• Norway: The Circus Village
• Sweden: Subtopia

The overall goal of NNCN is to:

Develop a supportive and active structure to improve the conditions and the opportunities for the contemporary circus sector in the Nordic countries. NNCN is active in enhancing the possibilities for artistic creation for Nordic circus artists and to broaden the knowledge about Nordic contemporary circus on an international level.
