Finnish Circus Information Centre
The Finnish Circus Information Centre (FCIC) contributes to the artistic development and promotes the cultural and social status of Finnish circus. It also creates and maintains international contacts.
The FCIC ’s activities include service and advisory work and disseminating information about the circus field. The FCIC compiles statistics and reports related to activity in the circus field which aids political decisionmaking.
The FCIC organises meetings and seminars for professionals in the field and public events that promote circus activities.
Sirkka is a comprehensive database of information on Finnish circus performances and artists.
The FCIC coordinates the circus art export project as part of a broad-based Finnish cultural export strategy. The project supports the creation of international networks and furthers the promotion of professional circus art groups.
The FCIC was established in 2006 and is supported by the Ministry of Education.
