Taikaa! / Magic! -festival at Restaurant Lämpö, Cirko Center, 5 November
During the day lectures about the secrets of theatrical illusions, aimed at professional magicians and performing artists interested in magic. The Gala performance begins at 7pm, bringing on stage the German magician Pit Hartling, Kalle Hakkarainen (FI), Axel Adlercreutz (SE) sekä Karl Eelmaa & Meelis Kubo (EST).

Go and check also “Portraits of Jugglers” – circus photo exhibition at Cirko-center lobby and hallway until 28.10. The exhibition consist of artist photos of world-reknown jugglers who have performed in Finland throughout the years. The collection is owned by the Finnish master juggler Björn “Henrico” Gammals. The exhibition is produced in co-operation by Björn Gammals, Finnish Circus Information Centre and Cirko Center for New Circus.

FINNISH CONTEMPORARY CIRCUS TOURS ABROAD
Circo Aereo leaves for Mexico at the end of October. “Espresso”, directed by Maksim Komaro, can be seen at Festival Internacional Cervantino in Guanajuato. Cervantino is one of the biggest cross-arts festivals in Central America. After the festival performances Espresso tours also three other Mexican cities during 23–29.10.2011. Circo Aereo’s co-production with Gandini Juggling (UK) “Motet” can be seen in Nordic Culture Festival in Copenhagen, Denmark in October and in the UK in November. www.circoaereo.net
WHS heads to Taiwan in October with its performance “Keskusteluja”, which combines juggling, magical illusions and puppetry. The performance can be seen at Duangu festival in Taipei 28.–30.10.2011. WHS will also give lacquers at the Taipei University. This past autumn WHS has also performed in Germany and Portugal. www.w-h-s.fi
Race Horse Company have continued their goal of conquering the world by performing in Australia in September. Petit Mal was performed at Brisbane festival between 13–17.9.2011.
Petit Mal has been performed in Europe 80 times since 2010. Next year 2012 it can be seen at least in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Great Britain, Spain and Canada. The company is planning tours of Asia and Australia for 2013. www.racehorsecompany.fi
